Start­ed in 2016, the band swift­ly cre­at­ed a rep­u­ta­tion for hard hit­ting beats mixed with fero­cious dis­tort­ed vocals when their debut album “Fall­en Angel” released. Fea­tur­ing vocals from Jan Rick­er, this album would pave way for the future of the band as Evan Mitchell pro­vid­ed guest vocals. For the fin­ish­ing touch­es on the album, Dom­i­na­trixR­MX and Tanaros pro­vid­ed heavy remix­es for the track ‘Dam­aged’. A year lat­er in 2017 the band released a hybrid album con­tain­ing five new songs and two remix­es from their debut album. Fea­tur­ing Mitchell as a guest vocal­ist once more, 13th Angel also tapped into the pow­er of Richie Suriv to give their title track an extra dip in the harsh EBM pool. This time around, 13th Angel called on the mag­nif­i­cent tal­ent of Vis­cera Drip to decon­struct ‘Atone­ment’, while Stahlnebel and Black Selket revamped ‘Fall­en Angel’ into their own beast. Though Jen Draven remained a con­stant in the project pour­ing out one harsh, stomp­ing beat after anoth­er, 2018 saw a brighter light for the band. Evan Mitchell took a step up to become the band’s full time vocal­ist. With Draven, Mitchell, and their new full time drum­mer Ale­jan­dro Acu­na all com­mit­ted to the project, 13th Angel is ready to takeover the scene with one intense, crush­ing syn­thet­ic song at a time. Dan Watts of The Infi­del Netwerk reviewed say­ing “Bright and siz­zling syn­the­siz­ers and clear and smooth pianos har­mo­nious­ly grace this trance inspired dance pop bal­lad. The inspir­ing music was com­posed by 13th Angel and the pow­er­ful vocals were con­tributed by Evan Mitchell in result cre­at­ing a tru­ly great collaboration.” 13th Angel is cur­rent­ly in the process of writ­ing their next full length album which is due out in 2020.
