Libby Johnson is a singer/songwriter from New York City. Born in Germany while her parents were stationed there, Libby was raised in the U.S. until the age of 13, at which time her family moved to Nairobi, Kenya. A self-taught piano player, she learned to play guitar from her mother, who was a folk singer of contemporary and traditional folk and bluegrass. Her father played bagpipes. Johnson’s first performance in public was at a Nairobi pub.

“Living in Nairobi was powerful,” she said. “That move was probably the single most influential thing to happen to me growing up, it gave me a sense of compassion and insight to live those years outside of the U.S.” “I was unencumbered and open to having many experiences in Africa, a guest among an international community during the time when I first began experimenting with songwriting and performing.”

As an adult, she had returned to the United States, settling in New York City after studying at Berklee College of Music. Along with her sister Carrie, also a musician and songwriter, she formed the band 22 Brides, and earned a slot on the 1998 Lilith Fair tour. The duo’s music was a blend of folk/rock featuring the two voices harmonizing. The Brides released three albums on the Zero Hour label, and one for Universal. They signed with Chrysalis publishing in 1994 and spent the next four years touring until both sisters paused to start families.

Libby released her solo debut album ‘Annabella’ in 2006 on the Wrong Records label. The songs followed the thread of her writing with the Brides, with “haunting vocals over sly bluesy guitar tracks.” Four of the tracks on “Annabella” were featured in the film “Trust The Man,” written and directed by Bart Freundlich, as well as an additional track co-written for the film.

Her follow-up album, “Perfect View,” was released in 2009, with several of the tracks picked up for international licensing. She is working on a new release to be out in early 2020.

Green Cathedral is an original Art-Rock band whose first album “Winter’s Veil” was released on Üser Records USA. This debut album is available for purchase and distribution through CD Baby, as well as digital download and streaming through various
popular online outlets. Winter’s veil has been steadily generating solid positive reviews as well as radio support in progressive regions.

Green Cathedral is made up of original music industry veterans from the Art-Rock, Post-Punk, and Prog Rock and Electronica worlds and recorded with the legendary Philadelphia producer Mark Montoro of Philly Jam Recording.

Green Cathedral is taking a meticulous crafting of songs with focus on musicianship and performance and infusing their material with unmistakable emotion that draws the listener in. Lyrically, the band explores the mythologies of this and other times, as well as the inner journeys of the mind, heart and soul. The music can be simultaneously esoteric and inviting, beautiful and sometimes aggressive. With their focus always on the song, Green Cathedral achieves Art-Rock sensibility with Pop hooks, strong melodies and choruses. This music expands the boundaries of radio friendly rock for the thinking class while never alienating the listener.

Green Cathedral is available for live performance, tours, interviews, radio, licensing and in-store appearances.

Voltheque was meant to be. As members of former Philadelphia rock acts splintered away and joined forces, a new project was born. Merging classic gothic rock influences, ambient soundscapes and a pulsating groove, this band has all the class from the past and plenty of originality to propel them far into the modern age. Live, Voltheque conjures a unique and unforgettable performance, combining guitar-driven melodies, cryptic lyrics, and a stage presence that delivers with evangelical fervor into a sound totally unique to the current Philadelphia music scene. Check out their EP “The Verdict” (available on Spotify) as well as their latest music video “Unearthed” on YouTube.
