Shayfer James is a Rock Noir singer-song­writer/per­former, theater/film com­pos­er and mul­ti-instru­men­tal­ist. His vibrant­ly moody and the­atri­cal music is equal­ly at home on a vaude­ville stage as it is on playlists that fea­ture Nick Cave, Fiona Apple, Amy Wine­house and Leonard Cohen. Shayfer moves unflinch­ing­ly from soul­ful uptem­po rock to serene bal­lads. Known for his poet­ic, goth­ic-tinged lyrics, swag­ger­ing grooves, whiskey humor, and cap­ti­vat­ing, the­atri­cal live per­for­mances, Shayfer is a pow­er­house show­man whether it be on large fes­ti­val stages or in liv­ing room house con­certs. Most recent­ly, a musi­cal Shayfer co-wrote with “Sleep No More’s” Kate Dou­glas pre­miered at The Met LiveArts 2019 sea­son. The musi­cal called “The Ninth Hour” is a 75 minute rock-operetta based on the epic poem. “Beowulf. Shayfer has per­formed for audi­ences all over the U.S. and inter­na­tion­al­ly in Lon­don, Madrid, Ice­land and Hong Kong. His most recent EP “Hope and A Hand Grenade” is avail­able across all stream­ing plat­forms along with his pre­vi­ous two full length albums, two EPS and var­i­ous singles. 

Per­for­mances by Shayfer will be com­ple­ment­ed by sideshow, bur­lesque, and cabaret by Envoute: Mag­ic and Burlesque.
