What is Line Art?

Line art or line draw­ing is any image that con­sists of dis­tinct straight or curved lines placed against a (usu­al­ly plain) back­ground with­out gra­da­tions in shade (dark­ness) or hue (col­or) to rep­re­sent two-dimen­sion­al or three-dimen­sion­al objects.
