What I mean by that is, for all the 35 years I have been play­ing gui­tar and writ­ing music, this right here is the kind of song I always want­ed to write but for some rea­son always missed the mark. I want­ed a song that pays homage to the Met­al bands I lis­tened to in high school and beyond my post teen years. Bands like Iron Maid­en, Judas Priest, Deep Pur­ple and W.A.S.P. with a dash of some of the bands I like today such as The 69 Eyes and The Killers.
