Mon­day night our com­mu­ni­ty was test­ed and what we saw fright­ened us. We want to make it clear that the racism and scare tac­tics on dis­play Mon­day night do not reflect our views. We know Fish­town has a long his­to­ry of racism and intol­er­ance – which still pre­vails and was on full dis­play Mon­day night. We stand with Black Lives Mat­ter and against racism. 

We will peace­ful­ly gath­er at 5:30 p.m. on Wednes­day, June 3, stretch­ing in 6ft inter­vals along Girard at Berks towards Frank­ford Ave. At 5:45 p.m. we will kneel in silence for 8 min­utes and 46 sec­onds in mem­o­ry of George Floyd and count­less others. 

PLEASE WEAR MASKS AND PRACTICE PHYSICAL/SOCIAL DISTANCING. 

Chil­dren are wel­come. Please do not mount signs on sticks/stakes.
