About Us
The Zombie Grrlz Horror Podcast is for fearless, fierce, horror lovin’ ladies (and guys) who just want to geek out about our favorite genre. Our mission is to change the perception that horror fandom is just for the fellas, as well as highlight the many contributions of women in horror, in front of and behind the camera.
On our bi-weekly horror podcast, the ZG crew features reviews—and occasionally some news—about horror in movies, TV, games, and books, and for our fellow instant gratification lovers each episode ends with a horror movie streaming pick.
So, whether your a horror girl or fanboy, we’re happy you found us and hope you love the show! Stay spooky, my friends.

Bio: Yes, I do believe the zombie apocalypse is nigh – don’t believe me? That’s fine, I just hope you don’t mind being zombie chow. When I’m not preparing for the undead end of days, or watching/thinking/talking/writing about horror movies I am herding cats and making fancy things.
Movies: Dawn of the Dead, Aliens, The Thing, Dead Birds, The Descent, 28 Days Later, Dance of the Dead, The Ring, Session 9, Return of the Living Dead, Dead Alive, Trick r Treat, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Army of Darkness, They Live, Jennifer’s Body, Blood Diner and Outpost Doom bitches!
Books: IT, Diary, Cold Heart Canyon, Anansi Boys, The Talisman, The Strain, Death Troopers, Odd Thomas, The Damnation Game, Relic, World War Z, The Ruins and The Thief of Always.
Games: Fallout 3, Bioshock, Left 4 Dead 2, Resident Evil 4, Bayonetta, Fable 2, The Darkness and Grimm Fandango.
Zombie Apocalypse survivalist tip: Keep someone expendable with you at all times. Why? Two words: Zombie shield.

Bio: Of course I believe in zombies, vampires, werewolves, she-demons, etc., but what sane person doesn’t? I became an avid horror fan and believer in all things spook-tacular the day my dad showed me “The Pit and the Pendulum” and “Psycho” when I was five years old. After that I was hooked and spent the next 20 years watching anything scary, creepy or at least full of blood and gore. Although my nights are spent slaying vampires, and keeping an eye out for that zombie aplocalypse Rachel is always warning me about, I spend my days as the web developer for a local non-profit newspaper.
Movies: Psycho, The Shining, Night of the Living Dead (the original), 28 Days Later, Rosemary’s Baby, Evil Dead, Ju-on, The Orphanage, the first Friday the 13th, all of the old Universal horror movies like Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, and the Wolf Man, oh, and of course, Killer Clowns from Outer Space and Blood Diner to name a few.
Books: Anything written by H.P. Lovecraft (especially “Rats in The Walls” and “The Call of Cthulhu”), Tales From The Crypt and Vault of Horror comics, and The Pit and The Pendulum.
Zombie Apocalypse survivalist tip: Don’t be a wuss, aim for the head. Either shoot it off their shoulders or chop it off because a Zombie with a bullet in its heart will keep on chomping.

Bio: I am not afraid of a zombie outbreak, it’s humans that scare me. Disasters tend to show peoples true colors and most of the time they aren’t pretty. I became a horror fan at a very early age when my sister and cousins decided that The Thing, Poltergeist, The Howling and Silver Bullet were quality Christmas entertainment. I am currently working towards a degree to teach English Lit to your children. My hobbies include following my derby girl to bouts (yep, I’m an out and proud derby widow), cooking, tracking down music by bands only my sister and I remember, driving aimlessly with my iTouch riding shotgun, avoiding Starbucks, drinking beer and drinking more coffee than should be allowed by law.
Movies: The Return of the Living Dead, TROTLD 3, John Carpenter’s The Thing, Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Friday the 13th part 2, My Bloody Valentine (The original), An American Werewolf in London, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Class of 1984, Terror Firmer, Poultrygeist, Jaws, Glitter (that movie is horrifying), Trick r Treat and Pariah.
Books: World War Z, Heart-Shaped Box, Helter Skelter, A Clockwork Orange, Titus Andronicus and The Complete History of The Return of the Living Dead
Video Games: My PS3 was broken for over a year, but any of the THPS, THUG or GTA series, Resident Evil, Diablo II.
Zombie Apocalypse survivalist tip: keep comfortable running shoes with you at all times, because let’s face it, while those steel toed work boots are great from stomping and kicking, the aren’t very quiet or comfortable.
