Cranford J. Coulter
I paint acrylic on canvas or on walls, or on canvas to mount on walls. I have painted many portraits of people and pets. People who have known my subjects tell me that I capture their essence…

More about Cranford J. Coulter
I started painting on canvas on March 1, 2016. It wasn’t long before that, that I could not draw a straight line or paint anything other than solid walls. However, in 2010-11, I had six strokes followed by dozens of TIAs (transient ischemic attacks) caused by migraines and a unique developmental defect in the arteries in the right side of my brain. This ruined my typing, and sometimes makes it difficult for me to find the right word, but I think it is what enabled me to do art.

To read more about my first discovery of this, check out my personal blog at www.shoutforjoy.us, especially “Line Painting As Entry Drug.” To read about the various paths in art I started to explore, read “Ya Gotta Have Art!” Then check out my steampunking of the bathroom and various articles about art. Several of the stories are duplicated here, but not all.
